Game 1 of the NBA Finals was a rollercoaster of emotions for both sides but the craziest part of it all may have been Kyrie Irving’s postgame comments. Irving made headlines postgame when his response to a question was “I thought it was going to be a little louder in here but I’m expecting the same things going into game 2”. Perhaps that would be the case had those comments not been made but we can only imagine Celtics fans will have the place rocking for game 2. Of course none of this matters if the Celtics come out flat in game 2 as they did in 2 of their previous 3 series. Even though the Celtics took a 21 point lead into halftime they would soon find themselves desperately clinging to an 8 point lead. The Celtics were quickly able to widen the margin and escape the game with an 18 point victory and now lead the series 1-0. We should be in for a good one on Sunday for game 2 as the Mavs look to tie the series while the Celtics try to get one step closer to banner 18.
